THE health minister has decided to dissolve Argyll and Clyde Health Board and is currently consulting on boundary options which mostly involve Highland Health Board taking over the area and parts going to GreaterGlasgow. The reasons for the failure of the Argyll and Clyde Board are assumed to be the difficulties of providing comprehensive healthcare to diverse rural and island communities.
