Summary
Perhaps The Herald could warn us when Orange Lodge walks are going to take place in Glasgow. We did not realise there would be a march on Saturday, and so we drove unsuspectingly into town into traffic chaos. Some drivers were doing extraordinary things with their cars - U-turns on one-way streets were a favourite. We sat and sat and sat. What if we had been going to the airport or the railway station? Would anyone care?
Eventually we parked the car, finished our shopping and decided to go home. We sat in Stockwell Street for about 20 minutes while the green lights came and went - nothing moved. Another 20-minute wait a bit further on. Again we witnessed more U-turns in a one-way street. It was a shambles.See the full content of this document
