OFFSHORE workers who are overweight soon could be adding to their employers' costs after a helicopter regulator yesterday announced that it has increased its passenger weight allocations on flights.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has raised the weight allocation by 20lb from 14 stone to 15 stone 6lb per passenger per aircraft, meaning fewer individuals will be allowed on each flight.
