THREE British paratroopers have been killed by a roadside bomb while working with special forces in Afghanistan .

The soldiers died when their Jackal armoured vehicle was caught in an ambush by Taliban forces north of Lashkar Gah in Helmand Province on Thursday It is understood the y belonged to the Special Forces Support Group The men were killed instantly when their vehicle was struck by an explosion before coming under small arms fire. A fourth member of the patrol was injured and remains in a critical condition. Their families have been informed.
