Summary
IT IS normally easy to park behind a parked car and a more difficult manoeuvre to park between two cars. Barry Lees made no complaint about the elderly driver's ability in doing this, but made an assumption that the reason was to save about a metre on the walk between kerb and shop (Letters, June 20).
This may very well have been the case and it is not only elderly drivers who do this. It could, however, have been that the driver had a walking/breathing problem or, indeed, was going to collect something from the shop that was bulky or heavy and it was common sense on seeing a nearer available space to move, whether young or old.See the full content of this document
