CHRIS PATERSON, the Scotland captain, made it clear yesterday that he wants to be back in the stand-off berth against England on Saturday.

The problem was rekindled at the weekend as, just 45 minutes into the RBS 6 Nations Championship opener against Wales, Paterson was moved to full back from stand-off when Brendan Laney went off injured.
