ONE of Scotland's most popular secondary schools will have to turn down nearly all high-priority placing requests this year because of an unprecedented surge in pupil numbers.

The decision by East Renfrewshire Council means scores of pupils who have a brother or sister at St Ninian's High School, in Giffnock, will not be able to get a place.
