ROGER FEDERER The defending champion and the man to beat. Cool as a cucumber on court and it's difficult to see who can beat him on grass and capture his crown. Has the incentive of knowing that, if he wins this year, he will join Bjoern Borg and Pete Sampras as the only players of the professional era to win Wimbledon three years on the trot. He has exquisite technique and has the ability to grind out results. His inner calmness is reminiscent of Borg, as is his all-round talent.
