KIOSKS with computers which allow people to contact the police at the touch of a screen are being piloted in Tayside.

Six kiosks, described as police boxes for the 21st century, have been set up in Dundee, Perthshire, and Angus, providing an internet- based link to Tayside police. The kiosks will also provide a link to the local authorities, NHS Tayside, and Dundee University, the force's partners in the scheme.
