THE UK Government will pay almost pound(s)30 million in compensation to a pharmaceutical firm over the refusal to grant a marketing authorisation for an antidepressant.

It was announced yesterday that the Dutch com-pany Synthon will receive EUR 33.25 million (pound(s)29.28m) for lost earnings and costs after a long-running dispute.
