Summary
PRINCE William presents Royal Navy veteran Ron Laley with a silver pin during a visit to HM Naval Base Clyde at Faslane. He presented the pins to 20 veteran sailors, plus gold pins to 22 naval officers with the gold badge - the first time the top honour has been awarded.
In total, 500 naval officers received pins at the ceremony, after which the Prince, who is the Commodore in Chief Submarines, unveiled a plaque to officially name the base as the future home of all Britain's submarine services.See the full content of this document
