GEERT Wilders, the far-right wing Dutch politician - who this week overturned a government decision to bar him from the UK because of his extremist views - was greeted with noisy protests when he arrived in Westminster yesterday to declare "victory for freedom of speech".

Police held back a small crowd of Muslim demonstrators as the leader of the Dutch Freedom Party - who has compared the Koran to Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf - made his way to a press conference that had to be moved from College Green to an indoor location to avoid a confrontation.
