THE chairman of Highlands and Islands Enterprise yesterday quit his private consultancy firm after it emerged that it won almost GBP150,000 worth of contracts from the public agency.

But William Roe said he would carry on in his role with HIE, which creates sustainable economic growth in the north of Scotland, despite concerns raised by its audit department over the way his consultancy firm Rocket Science was awarded the business.
