RANGERS have agreed terms with Matt McKay and hope to complete the midfielder's transfer from Brisbane Roar next week. A fee for the Australian internationalist, who played against Wales in Cardiff on Wednesday night, has also been agreed, although Rangers still need to secure a work permit for the 28-year-old.

The club, whose former defender Danny Wilson has admitted he would be open to rejoin on loan this season, had hoped to finalise the deal before the player left the UK this week, thus making him eligible to play in next week's Europa League qualifying tie against Maribor, but McKay has flown back home after problems securing a visa.
