Summary
GAVIN Fleming seeks to reassure us that reality TV is "here to stay" (August 8). He contrasts this with apparent declining viewing figures for soap operas. Quite how Big Brother with a cast of loud, extrovert, hammy, minor-celebrity-wannabees qualifies as "reality" is beyond this unassuming viewer.
