THE recovery in Scotland's manufacturing sector continued to blossom over the past three months, a Confederation of British Industry survey showed yesterday - but omin-ous economic indicators have revealed signs that it may be about to sputter again.

Squeezed by higher oil prices and an inability to pass those costs on, Scottish manufacturers in the latest CBI Scotland quarterly industrial trends survey have signalled "subdued expectations for orders and output over the coming quarter".
