TONY Blair yesterday signalled that he was planning to run a two- year campaign to turn round public opinion on the new-look Europe, declaring that it would be a tough battle between reality and myth.

While the prime minister indicated MPs would vote on a bill ratifying the new European constitution before the next election - expected next spring - he made clear he would play the referendum campaign long.
