BTyesterday unveiled plans to cut wholesale broadband prices, provide faster internet connections and give rivals equal access to its so-called local loop networks as part of a regulatory settlement with Ofcom to avert a possible break-up of the group.
Ofcom, which has been carrying out a year-long strategic review aimed at fostering greater competition in the telecoms sector, ordered BT last year to improve access and cut the amount it charges rival providers for using its broadband networks.See the full content of this document
