THREE competition winners from the Russian city of St Petersburg went on a VIP tour on the first day that the pound(s)21 million Robert Burns Birthplace Museum was accessible to the public yesterday.

Teenagers Olga Zastrizhnaya, Veronika Liogvinova and Daria Neskoromnaya, all 16, joined expert curatorial staff at the National Trust for Scotland centre, where the cafe and shop were open for the first time, ahead of the ground-breaking exhibition opening on December 1.
