Summary
A RECENT report by the Marine Energy Group suggests there could be 12,500 jobs created in marine renewables, which has the potential to contribute GBP2.5bn to Scotland's economy by 2020. The same report also called for the Scottish Government to gain access to the GBP150m of funding through the fossil fuel levy, which continues to be held by Westminster.
It is vital this money, accumulated on Scotland's behalf by Westminster, is returned to Scotland, helping promote renewables here.
