Kyle Smith took five wickets as Scotland topped their qualifying group for the Under-19 World Cup in style yesterday, writes William Dick. The young Scots went into their final match against Vanuatu in Coleraine already assured of their place at next summer's tournament, which takes place in Australia.

An emphatic 130-run victory against minnows Vanuatu means Craig Wright's side are the top-ranked team outside the Test nations. Arbroath opener Ross McLean top-scored with 69 runs while Forfarshire's Aman Bailwal added 40 to an inning's total of 222-8.
