SELEX Galileo, the defence electronics specialist group, has been awarded a Euro350m (about GBP315m) contract by BAE Systems to support the Eurofighter's radar and defence aids system.

The company's Edinburgh plant will get an unspecified amount of the work but it is unlikely any new jobs will be created, an industry source told The Herald.
