Summary
I am ashamed to admit that I spent a great deal of the 1980s dragging, ragging and rolling. All to no great effect, as the end result was an over-processed house with pizza-patterned walls. At the time, I would have welcomed Annie Sloan's Complete Book of Decorative Paint Finishes, described as "a step-by-step guide to mastering paint techniques for the home".
In these more minimalist times, the availability of smart ranges of paints have made home decorating less labour-intensive. That said, a more voluptuous look is back in vogue, and trust me on this, the book explores all the techniques you will ever need to decorate your home. While she promises to add creativity and innovation to your projects, the real charm of Sloan's book is that she is determined that the end result will be professional.See the full content of this document
