I AM surprised the chairman of the Scottish Police Federation is calling for a ban on Old Firm football matches, although it is acknowledged this is never likely to happen ("Police call for a ban on Old Firm clashes", The Herald February 28).
There is a real problem with violence after these matches but since the introduction of earlier kick offs and the ban on alcohol, the trouble has moved to the streets and homes later in the day rather than at the grounds.See the full content of this document
