RAIL authorities have claimed a 72-hour strike by signal workers will not disrupt Christmas travel in Scotland.

The Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union said yesterday 32 staff at the West of Scotland Signalling Centre in Glasgow will walk out between Christmas Eve and the following Tuesday in a row over how staff are promoted.
