STANDARD Life ploughed nearly GBP3m more into ScottishPower on Monday - appearing to signal confidence that German giant E.ON would bid significantly more than 600p a share for the Glasgow- headquartered utility by buying stock at 586p.
It was the biggest single day's purchase of ScottishPower by the investment arm of the life and pensions giant for nearly a month. The shares were bought as the electricity and gas company's stock was spiking higher on reports that it had already begun talks with E.ON about being taken over by the German group.See the full content of this document
