SHARES in the high street fashion chain French Connection plunged 8per cent yesterday after the company said it expected a 10per cent tumble in winter sales, and warned profits will fail to meet City expectations.

The group's second profit warning in eight months follows a trading update in May in which French Connection cautioned that sales levels were below its expectations.
