A MAN who caused panic on a flight from Majorca to Glasgow by smoking in a toilet was fined (pounds) 750 yesterday.

Paisley Sheriff Court heard that holidaymakers screamed when their aircraft went into a nosedive as a klaxon blared out to indicate an emergency. The plunge from 40,000 to 30,000ft in just two minutes caused a "nightmarish" end to their break last June, the court heard.
