Summary

Spain is a one-man show about the highs and lows of life in the Canaries in the naughty nineties. Less Club Rep, more wannabe Club Tropicana, Mark Kydd plays Ally, a now pretty jaded and a little self-damaged 42-year-old looking back at the "good old days" of photographs of his conquests and "empty" postcard messages from his (we hope former) married, Spanish lover.

Loosely based on real stories and characters, and co-created with Kydd, writer James Ley's script explores the appeal of sunny Spanish climes, especially the then relatively permissive islands of Tenerife and, especially, Gran Canaria, the pre-Ibiza/Mykonos gay hotspots of Europe.
