APPROVAL was given yesterday by NHS Greater Glasgow to consult the public on a proposal to create one of the UK's largest specialist heart and lung surgery units in the west of Scotland.
The trust gave its blessing to the plan which, if implemented, would involve centralising cardiothoracic care from four hospitals at the Golden Jubilee Hospital in Clydebank, formerly owned by a private consortium before being bought by the Scottish Executive.See the full content of this document
