Summary
GRAHAM Eccles, the director in charge of Stagecoach Group's rail operations, made a gain of pounds-236,940 after exercising some of the share options he had accumulated since joining the board in July 2000. Eccles notified the Perth-based group on Monday that he had generated gross proceeds of pounds-594,944 from the sale of 531,200 shares at an average price of 112p each.
Some 216,000 of these were acquired at 62.50p under options granted to Eccles in June 2000. The remaining 315,200 were acquired at an exercise price of 70.75p under options granted to him in June 2001. Following the recent transactions, Eccles was left with a holding of 92,812 of Stagecoach's shares, representing 0.01-per cent of the total ordinary shares in issue.
