SCOTLAND could lose out on inward investment by US companies because of sterling's continuing rise against the plummeting dollar, a leading economist warned last night.
Professor Brian Ashcroft, policy director of Strathclyde University's respected Fraser of Allander Institute, said: "From a Scottish point of view, my biggest worry about the strength of the pound against the dollar is we may lose out on either reinvestments or investments from US companies."See the full content of this document
