NATIONALISTS yesterday paraded their newly-recruited 10,000th member and claimed the party's membership was continuing to grow.

Bushra Bashir, 21, the youngest daughter of a Glasgow councillor, was welcomed to the SNP conference by Alex Salmond. Ms Bashir, a second-year student at Glasgow University, said: "I've been wanting to join for some time, and last week in Glasgow my dad said I should take the plunge and sign up.
