Summary
ONE of the biggest issues in musical Scotland is, and always has been, the fair provision of classical music throughout the land. It is a problem that has not received adequate exposure and debate. Why? Because those in power, whether on the Scottish Executive or the Scottish Arts Council, are usually looking the wrong way. They look only at the organisations and how much they cost. They see only problems. They don't see solutions.
The real issue, which seems to elude our masters, is not simply associated with the musical organisations of Scotland, but is directly connected to the physical and geographical structure of the country itself.See the full content of this document
