EVERY possible step will be taken to ensure people in care homes run by financially-stricken Southern Cross continue to be looked after where they are currently resident, Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon has pledged.

Ms Sturgeon said after a meeting in Glasgow yesterday with the company's chief executive, Jamie Buchan, he had offered an assurance that both quality and continuity of care were of "paramount importance" to the firm.
