SUPERINJUNCTIONS are a relatively new phenomenon. They are an advanced form of injunctions, (or interdicts, as we call them in Scotland) which are legal orders of the court preventing something happening, or someone from doing or saying something.

Injunctions are used in anything from domestic violence cases to ones in which employees are prevented from opening up a new business next door to their former employers.
