GROWTH of the UK's dominant services sector accelerated in October to its fastest pace since July, according to a survey yesterday which killed any lingering hopes of a cut in interest rates next week.
The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply's headline business activity index for services rose from a ninemonth low of 55.0 in September to 56.1 - a three-month high.
