ACTIVITY in the UK construction sector declined at the slowest pace in 18 months in August, a survey from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply showed yesterday.
However, the fall in activity which was signalled by the survey was still substantial. And it was broadly-based, with activity declining in each of the three sub-sectors of housebuilding, commercial property construction, and civil engineering.See the full content of this document
