Oscar nominees, determined to look as cool as cucumbers are said to have botox injections in their armpits a few weeks before the ceremony.

The botulinum toxin, already used by celebrities to smooth out wrinkles, has also been developed as a treatment for excessive sweating. Between 10 and 15 injections are given in each armpit to paralyse sweat glands.
