PLANS to cut hundreds of jobs at Diageo's Kilmarnock plant are "not acceptable to the people of Scotland", said Finance Secretary John Swinney yesterday.

Pledging the Scottish Government would work "flat out" to save the jobs, Mr Swinney announced he would chair cross-party talks to fight the proposals tomorrow.
