A teenage climber was airlifted to hospital with back injuries after falling 15ft down a cliff near Aberdeen.

The 17-year-old fell in such an awkward position that three Coastguard teams had to give up and scramble an RAF helicopter to help. He was winched from the bottom of the cliffs at Floors Craig, Newtonhill, and flown to Aberdeen for treatment.
