A TEENAGE mountain climber has been swept to his death after triggering an avalanche in the Highlands.

Stephen King, 18, from Kent, was with a scout group on an outing to a remote part of Creag Meagaidh, between Spean Bridge and Newtonmore. It is believed the victim's mother was with the group when he died.
