COUNCIL tenants in Inverclyde will get to vote on transferring their 9000 houses to a community housing association under plans to modernise properties in the area.

As the second council in Scotland to enter the Scottish Executive's community ownership programme, Inverclyde will get up to (pounds) 3m to enable it to make an early start on regeneration projects, including the Woodhall estate.
