Thai anti-Government protesters have welcomed a compromise deal to end the violent clashes that have paralysed Bangkok, but demanded more details before agreeing to leave the city.

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva proposed holding new elections on November 14 in exchange for the Red Shirt protesters dismantling the camp they have set up in the middle of the Thai capital.
