Summary

AFTER some two years of chaos and inconvenience for residents and small businesses along and adjacent to Edinburgh's tram route and in recognition of the many thank yous from Transport Initiatives Edinburgh (TIE) for our patience, I wish personally to express my appreciation to TIE, the contractors and the city council for their seasonal gift of two large craters in the Haymarket area ("Edinburgh trams on track but work rate below target, says chief", The Herald, December 12).
