Summary
DRAMA The OC Channel 4, Sunday, 6.30pm The drama has been polished until you can see your face in it, but it does at least try to do what other American teen dramas don't and tackle issues other than what colour is in this season. Ryan is a poor boy who is taken in by a rich benefactor, with the resultant noisy clash between two worlds. It's painfully slick and is clearly set in a universe where everyone - and I mean everyone - is buff and good-looking, but we should give them the credit for trying.
REALITY tv The Bodyguards Channel 4, Sunday, 8.00pm In what is either the latest desperate attempt to find something new in the reality-tv genre or a bizarre bid to address the hitherto-unknown world shortage in bodyguards, Channel 4 is putting 12 bodyguarding virgins through a course to determine if they have what it takes to become one. This will, no doubt, be diverting for 50 minutes or so, but the best reality television teaches us something about the human condition.
