Bit of a let down
JACK McConnell (pictured), the first minister, seems well aware of what the press can do to you if they are in a mischievous mood. Jack was just about to take to the stage to introduce the Sunday Mail's Great Scots awards dinner at Glasgow's Hilton when a balloon on one of the tables slowly deflated with a loud rasping noise.
