That answer couldn't be more French which, of course, is part of the reason why his forthcoming tenure of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra is being met with much applause.

Deneve's interpretive daring and finesse with French music are what make his concerts a hot ticket on the international circuit where, at 32, he is one of only half a dozen young maestros to command such attention.
