I HOPE that you will allow me to use your columns to thank the nearly 600 customers and members of the public who responded by letter, e-mail, and reply slips to indicate their support for the campaign to save the Bank of Scotland branch in the head office on the Mound in Edinburgh.
The responses were very encouraging and revealed serious concerns about other issues arising from the transaction which brought the Bank of Scotland and Halifax together in the same group.See the full content of this document
