Summary
I AGREE 100% with Michael McCarron (April 1). He makes the point well that criminality exists in all walks of life. Cases in recent years that spring to my mind are the Dundee lawyer jailed for embezzling from a 100-year-old lady on her deathbed and the Dumfries policeman who terrorised and raped vulnerable women. These cases make the point, if it were needed, that we are all human.
We must constantly challenge the establishment because there is a danger that if any group in society is left unchallenged to regulate its own affairs without independent scrutiny it will breed arrogance and invite malpractice.See the full content of this document
